Kitchen Design: More Saratoga Updates!

A couple of weeks ago we shared that phase 2 of our Saratoga remodeling project is complete. Although we highlighted a couple of things we did, we didn’t have time to share much about the kitchen design.

Saratoga Kitchen Design

As with many of our kitchen design projects, the Saratoga project included updating the kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, paint colors, faucets and much, much more. Here are a few specifics from the Saratoga kitchen design:

  • Granite Countertops. For this project, the homeowners selected honed granite countertops because of the soft, natural appearance. They’re also very durable, a great way to add value to your home and the matte finish ended up looking fantastic with the kitchen cabinets.

  • Kitchen cabinets. When it comes to kitchen design, cabinets play a vital role. In this Saratoga kitchen design, we opted for white as it gives the room a classic, timeless feel (which is why it’s a common trend these days). We also added several kitchen cabinet accessories to the project, including a pull-out spice cabinet and a tray storage cabinet. Lastly, we included a mix of open and closed cabinet space so the homeowners could display things like their china.

  • Appliances. The functionality of the room is just as important to kitchen design as the style of the materials used. In this project we updated the space with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances like the cooktop and refrigerator. Besides installing the granite countertops and kitchen cabinets, we also rearranged the placement of the appliances for better work flow.

  • The sink. As we shared last week, the farmhouse sink adds a unique, old-fashioned look, which is why we incorporated it into this Saratoga kitchen design. Extremely versatile, these sinks are easy to care for and very durable.

Kitchen design is an extremely important part of any home remodel as this room is often a comfortable place for families to gather together.
